What CMS NPPES confirms, and what it does not

CMS NPPES is the public source behind the current MyCareRoute Florida dentist records. It is useful for checking source-reported NPI, entity type, taxonomy, practice address, and public record status. It should not be treated as a full consumer directory.

Fields NPPES can help with

• NPI and entity type.
• Provider or organization name as reported to NPPES.
• Dental taxonomy labels.
• Practice address and public phone fields when present.

Fields that need separate confirmation

• Current license status.
• Insurance or Medicaid acceptance.
• Appointments, hours, services, and whether a provider is accepting new patients.
• Quality, outcomes, reviews, recommendations, or rankings.
