Corrections

How record corrections work.

MyCareRoute reviews correction reports against public or official sources before changing provider record display. Reports should focus on source-backed directory facts, not medical, insurance, or appointment questions.

What to send

Provider page URL or NPI, the field that looks wrong, and a public source link when available.

What we check

CMS NPPES and other approved public sources. We do not use fuzzy matching to merge provider identities.

What not to send

Symptoms, diagnoses, prescriptions, insurance IDs, appointment requests, or private health details.

Corrections can cover
Wrong address, phone, name, specialty, duplicate record, inactive record, or source display issue.
Corrections cannot do
Book appointments, verify insurance, give medical advice, remove official public records, or certify license status.
Display standard
Fields change only when they remain source-backed and fit the current public display policy.
